The Future of Automotive Technology with Shannon Grewe at Colby Chrysler Center

Countless innovations have come out of the automotive industry and car companies have been quick to jump on tech trends that originated in other industries. Chrysler is no exception. In fact, they have committed to producing only electric vehicles by 2028. The All About The Car podcast team recently visited Owner Shannon Grewe at Colby Chrysler Center in Colby, WI to chat about the advancements in recent history that have increased the level of safety and comfort of our vehicles. We also learn about what is next on the horizon.

◾ 1959 – Volvo invents seatbelt and shares technology with other car makers 

◾ 1971 – Anti-lock brakes 

 

Now 

◾ 360 degree cameras 

◾ Crash avoidance technology

◾ Increase in autonomous vehicle applications 

◾ Airless tires in commuter vehicles

Road Trip Wisconsin: The Apostle Islands 

The podcast team decides to take a break from technology and head north to the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior in Ashland County. These beautiful sandstone islands boast beautiful sea caves and incredibly clear surrounding waters. In fact, you can see the underwater remnants of one of the islands that has now eroded.
